Hello, my name is Alan, and I would like to welcome you to my collection of photographs of vehicles used by the UK's Emergency Services (Fire/Police/Ambulance/Coastguard etc.).
Most of the images in this gallery were taken over the past 17 years or so, and many taken from old 35mm photographs, which were scanned into digital format, whilst others were taken more recently using a digital camera.
I should point out that I don't go out searching for these vehicles, and I have the greatest respect for the work they do, and realise that they have enough on their plates without some amateur photographer getting under their feet. Rather it is a collection of images taken at various Open Days, or when I've just happened to come across them whilst out photographing other subjects. As a result of that, this will never be a very large gallery, but I thought that it would still be well worth displaying the shots that I do have in my collection, since many of the emergency vehicles are always very interesting to look at. I will add more as and when any future opportunities arise, however infrequent these might be!
