I visited lots of heritage railways, but this was the first time that I'd been to one with its very own heritage fire brigade - the Elsecar Heritage Railway in South Yorkshire had lots of them around their car park, and from what I saw a number of them are in full working order too!

Should come in very useful if any of those steam locos set the embankments on fire anyway! smile

Nice to see a couple of the old army 'Green Goddesses' in the collection, last time I saw one of those it was doing service during the last Firemans' Stike.
